Red Cross of Constantine Metropolitan Division

On Thursday 28th October 2010 R.Ill.Kt. Peter Fuchter, Intendant-General of the Red Cross 011Metropolitan Division of the Red Cross of Constantine delivered a cheque for £2,500 from the Grand Sovereign’s Care for Children Fund to Amy White, Fundraising Manager of the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, Hampton, Middlesex. He was accompanied by Ill.Kt. Wes Hollands the Divisional Marshal acting as photographer.

The Head of the Red Cross of Constantine, M.Ill.Kt. Richard Wallis, JP invited his Intendants-General throughout England & Wales to nominate a Children’s charity in need of funds within their own Division. R.Ill.Kt. Fuchter nominated the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice in Middlesex – the Metropolitan Division includes the whole of Middlesex.

The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice was established in 1995 and provides care, support and advice for children and young people with life limiting conditions and their families. Their services include respite care (short breaks), day care, outreach care, end of life care and family support & therapies across the Western half of London, Middlesex and North Surrey. At an historic and unique ceremony at Mark Masons' Hall on Wednesday 13th October 2010, the M.Ill.Grand Sovereign granted Time Immemorial status to Plantagenet Conclave, formerly No 2.
 
The Grand Sovereign was accompanied by the Deputy Grand Sovereign, the Grand Marshal, the Deputy Grand Marshal, the Grand Sword Bearer, the Grand Standard Bearer, the Grand Historiographer and a contingent of Grand Sepulchre under their Captain, John Wickes and in the presence of the Intendant-General and the Deputy Intendant-General of the Metropolitan Division and a number of other Intendants-General.
 
V.Ill.Kt. Bob Morrow delivered a paper setting out his researches and discoveries which led to the Grand Sovereign granting Time Immemorial status. (Click here to read the paper)  The Conclave then surrendered its warrants to the Grand Sovereign and the Deputy Grand Recorder read a certificate of Time Immemorial status then this certificate was delivered to the Conclave.
 
In future this Conclave will be known as, "Plantagenet Conclave Time Immemorial".
 
This ceremony & event had never taken place in any Order administered by Mark Masons' Hall and only once by Grand Lodge in respect of a Craft Lodge.
